The Andhra Pradesh State Biodiversity Board (APSBB) have entered in to agreement and make a partnership with REC Foundation, an initiative of Rural Electrification Corporation Limited which is one of the leading public sector enterprises of the Government of India under administrative control of the Ministry of power for implementation of the project “Conservation and sustainable management of Bio-resources of Andhra Pradesh” during the year 2018 with a cost of Rs. 22.00 lakhs.
The objectives of the programme :
- Enhancing based or conservation and protection of Biodiversity
- Promoting sustainable management of bio-resources
- Documentation of Bioresources
- Under taking studies/research projects for endangered and threatened species by involving competent agencies.
- Documentation and publication of brochures, success stories, research papers, publicity material and books etc.,
